The General Psychiatry in Piteå is a specialist psychiatric outpatient clinic operating within the catchment area of Piteå Älvdal, which includes the municipalities of Piteå, Älvsbyn, Arvidsjaur, and Arjeplog. We are about 70 employees at the clinic where we provide psychiatric outpatient care with various treatment and assessment interventions for citizens aged 18 and over, striving to provide good, evidence-based, and person-centered care to our patients.

Various professions work within our clinic, such as psychologists, nursing assistants, nurses, behavioral scientists, specialist doctors, social workers, physiotherapists, rehabilitation coordinators, medical secretaries, and administrators. The psychiatry division has begun a transition to Near Care, where we move care into the home close to the patient.

Currently, an exciting project is underway at the clinic through work with the Specialist Psychiatric Care Team, SPOT, which works preventively to prevent the need for hospitalization in inpatient care, reduce the time in round-the-clock care, and offer greater participation in the patient's care and early interventions at the right time. We are looking for

We are looking for you who are a licensed specialist doctor or consultant in psychiatry with experience working in specialized psychiatry, it is advantageous if you have previous experience in psychiatric outpatient care. You should have good skills in expressing yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English, as well as good knowledge of the most commonly used Microsoft Office programs. It is an advantage if you have experience with the Cosmic and VAS journal systems.

We place great emphasis on personal qualities; as a person, you are self-driven and take responsibility for your work, you are stable and work in a structured manner. You have good judgment and act in a considerate and thoughtful manner.

The care and intervention program for Schizophrenia will be implemented at the clinic, and we see you as an important part of this work.

As a permanent doctor for the psychosis team, you will work closely with the staff group on current patient matters, you will have joint rounds and also have individual medical visits with patients that can take place at the clinic as well as digitally.

We believe that you want to continue developing person-centered care together with the staff. It is also important for us that you enjoy the community in the workgroup and actively participate in workplace meetings and function as a guiding and developing support.

In the role of a psychosis doctor, effective collaboration with other care neighbors, external operations, and authorities is also crucial. We also see the importance of internal collaboration with us, that we together take responsibility for our clinic and our shared patients, we see that you are flexible and solution-oriented.

Within the clinic, we work with basic assessments, where basic assessors conduct a broad mapping of the patient's current symptom profile to ensure that the right symptoms are matched to the right intervention. It is important that you, as an experienced doctor, assist with your assessment competence in these cases together with a psychologist at the basic feedback conference.

The clinic accepts AT and BT doctors and currently has 2 ST doctors and 1 junior doctor. In our operations, you will be part of the on-call chain at Sunderby Hospital. We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in working with people and who wants to continue developing both yourself and our clinic together with us.

Information about the position

We offer a permanent full-time position, the working hours are scheduled during the day with on-call duties. Start date according to agreement.

Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreements.
